Solar Sales Position

Northeast Solar bust and hiring an energetic, motivated individual to sell PV Solar Systems to residential and commercial prospects in Western Massachusetts.

Candidates must have a strong desire to sell in the Solar PV market, be a team player, and be able to work with our marketing team and lead generation vendors. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to grasp and reiterate solar energy concepts to clients. We take a low-pressure, consultative approach to selling solar, ensuring our clients are comfortable with their decision to invest in their home or business. Candidates will also have a solid understanding of how solar works and the key components of every solar PV array.

Responsibilities:

  • Create solar proposals

  • Participate in lead generation activities like trade shows, and community events when needed

  • Attend meetings with potential clients to explain the value of installing solar

  • Communicate with leads for sales development

  • Conduct solar site visits and have familiarity with solar production tools

  • Manage customer expectations related to project timelines

  • Track and make notes of sales activities within our CRM

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Driver’s license

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 2+ years of sales experience (Solar-specific experience is a plus)

  • Knowledge of State and Federal solar incentives and programs

Customer Service Representative

Northeast Solar is a local, Hatfield-based solar company and we are busy! Our team designs and installs custom solar for residential, commercial, and agricultural clients. We have a great team of individuals who care about their work and constantly strive to produce the highest quality product and service they can. We are a consultative company and customer care is our top priority.

We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative to act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face. The best candidate will be genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk. Customer service representatives can put themselves in their customers' shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and our ideal candidate will be good at asking questions to further understand customer needs. Problem-solving comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigating if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. Our goal is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Electrician

Northeast Solar is looking for an electrician to join our installation team to assist with photovoltaic installation. This position will work under the direction of the installation supervisor and will work installing panels, racking, roof mounts, electrical interconnections, and assisting with design.  The position requires working at heights. The preferred candidate will have good communication skills, be self-motivated, reliable, have a positive attitude, be well-groomed, and have a passion for renewable energy.

$30.00-$45.00 per hour – BOE
$1,500 Signing Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and train apprentices on solar PV installations, panel attachment, and
    electrical interconnection

  • Ensure all applicable permits are pulled and schedule electrical inspections

  • Ensure all necessary materials and tools arrive at the job site

  • Assists with overall crew & job site safety

  • Assist with general site preparation and clean up

  • Participate in regular safety trainings

  • Assist with completion of installation reports

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts licensed Journeyman Electrician license

  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check

  • Capable of lifting 70 pounds unassisted, climbing ladders, working with tools and working
    in crawl spaces

  • OSHA 10-hour course completed

  • Comfortable working on roofs and at heights in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entry-level NABCEP solar installation certificate or equivalent
  • Construction experience
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have reliable transportation
