Battery Storage Leasing
Is my system compatible?
If you have an Enphase IQ8 system installed by Northeast Solar, your system is designed to work with the new IQ 10C battery. We’ll confirm compatibility during the site visit.
What happens if the grid goes down?
Your battery kicks in automatically. It powers your essential circuits — lights, refrigerator, outlets — until the grid comes back. During the day, your solar panels recharge the battery so you can keep going.
What is Storm Guard?
Storm Guard is an Enphase feature that monitors weather forecasts. When severe weather is approaching your area, it automatically charges your battery to 100% before the storm hits. You don’t have to do anything.
How does Connected Solutions affect my backup power?
The utility only accesses a portion of your battery during scheduled events. You always have backup power available for emergencies. If a storm is forecast, Storm Guard prioritizes your backup needs over grid events.
What if I don’t have solar yet?
We can install solar and battery storage together. The battery lease program works alongside our solar PPA — both with zero money down and fixed payments.
What happens at the end of 12 years?
At the end of the lease, you have options. You can purchase the battery at fair market value, renew the lease, or have it removed. We’ll walk through all of that during the proposal.
What if something breaks?
The lease includes full maintenance coverage. If something goes wrong with your battery, we fix or replace it at no additional cost.
How long does installation take?
Most battery installations are completed in 2-3 days. Your existing solar system continues working throughout the installation.
Is this program really limited?
Yes. Palmetto allocates a set number of lease slots per installer. We’re offering them to our existing customers first. When they’re committed, they’re gone.
